Best Grocery Sales in Los Angeles This Week (October 29, 2026)
The best checked deals in Los Angeles this week are at Food 4 Less: General Mills® Cookie Crisp™ Cereal, 10.6 oz is $2.50 (sale, regular $4.49), and 16 oz Barilla pastas are 4 for $5 in the weekly ad. These prices come from Kroger’s online listings for Ralphs on La Brea Avenue and two Food 4 Less stores (6th & Burlington and Olympic & Hoover), both Kroger banners. We recorded them October 21, 2026 and rechecked every item against the live listings and the October 28–November 3 weekly ads on October 29. Sale prices are card prices.

Food 4 Less prices were the same at both stores. Most of these sales run through Tuesday, November 3.
Same item, different store
The two banners price several of these items very differently this week. Fruity PEBBLES Gluten Free and Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted are $2.29 at Food 4 Less but $3.79 (sale, regular $4.49) at Ralphs. At the same $2.29, the 12 oz Honey Bunches of Oats box is the better value, about 19¢ per ounce against 21¢ for the 11 oz Fruity PEBBLES. Barilla pasta is $1.99 at Ralphs, with no sale this week. Cookie Crisp is $3.79 at Ralphs (sale, regular $4.99, through November 17), $1.29 more than at Food 4 Less.
Rice goes the other way. Botan Calrose Rice, 5 lb is $5.29 at Ralphs and $9.99, not on sale, at Food 4 Less. Ralphs lists $5.29 as a sale price against a $9.99 regular, but it has listed the bag on sale at $4.99 to $5.29 in every Los Angeles-area check since May, and the current price runs to February 2, 2027. Treat $5.29 as Ralphs’ usual price, not a limited-time markdown. Mahatma Extra Long Grain White Rice is also cheaper at Ralphs, $1.49 against $1.79 (sale, regular $1.99) at Food 4 Less. Ralphs has listed it at $1.49 since September 22, so its $2.49 regular is not a recent shelf price.
Two more sale prices have been around a while. The Nature’s Own Perfectly Crafted White Bread sale started September 9. The Oscar Mayer rotisserie chicken lunchmeat was on sale at every Ralphs store we checked in October, and Food 4 Less sells it for $4.49 regular ($3.99 on sale through November 10). So Ralphs’ $5.79 listed regular is not a fair base for a discount. Ralphs La Brea charges $3.99 with card, and its weekly ad lists select 7–9 oz Deli Fresh packs at $2.99 with a digital coupon.
Deals from October 21 that have ended
These were on sale at Food 4 Less when we recorded prices on October 21, but the live listings show no sale on October 29: Nature’s Own Butterbread Bread, 20 oz (was $2.99, now $4.39), Progresso™ Reduced Sodium Canned Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup, 18.5 oz (was $2.00, now $2.99) and Progresso™ Vegetable Classics Canned Minestrone Soup, 19 oz (was $2.00, now $2.99). Cookie Crisp at Ralphs went from $2.99 to $3.79.
Bottom Line
For a pantry restock this week, Food 4 Less has the stronger cereal and pasta prices. Buy Botan rice at Ralphs, where $5.29 is the usual price, not a sale to rush for. Most of these sales end Tuesday, November 3, and prices can change, so check the store’s app or shelf before you go.
